
With a simple recipe perfected over nearly 70 years, the Engelwood United Methodist Church turns out the country's best peanuts. Raw peanuts are sourced locally in eastern North Carolina, blanched in water, perfectly fried in peanut oil and deftly salted while still hot; the resulting nuts are pure perfection. Crunchy, salty, and deeply flavorful, they are an ideal party snack, and are wonderful alongside a glass of vermouth or an ice-cold beer.
