An unusual mixed ferment of apples, Chardonnay, and hops, this experimental bottling from Romaine des Grottes is unlike anything we've encountered. Pleasantly bitter from the hops, it's got layers of herbaceous and tropical aromatics. Neither wine or cider exactly, it is nevertheless intriguing and refreshing, an unconventional and off the wall journey into farming and fermenting worth your time, and certainly the kind of thing we champion here.
