Hot Mama's Salsa Mexicana is a traditional Mexican style salsa handmade in Portland; Nikki Guerrero makes a paste of dried and smoked chilies before adding roasted tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. This is our favorite breakfast salsa, it is warm and smoky sweet at first and then has a good creeping burn. It is great on egg burritos, as a base for chili, used as a marinade for grilled meats or veggies, and mixed with sour cream as a dip.
